Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil until shimmering.
  4. Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  5. Carefully flip the salmon, pour the glaze over it, and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until just cooked through.
  6. Transfer to plates, drizzle with extra glaze, and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes
