- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1 cup crab meat (real or imitation)
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 4 sheets nori (seaweed)
- Soy sauce and wasabi for serving
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions and mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Chop crab, cucumber, and avocado into thin strips. Combine crab with softened cream cheese.
- On a bamboo mat, lay a sheet of nori shiny side down. Wet hands and spread sushi rice over nori, leaving an inch at the top.
- Place fillings horizontally across the center, then roll tightly from the bottom using the mat.
- Slice the roll with a wet knife into bite-sized pieces.
- Arrange on a platter and serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Avoid overstuffing your roll and be patient while rolling.
