Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken topped with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and a delightful honey mustard sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper and marinate in olive oil and honey mustard for 30 minutes (optional).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté mushrooms until golden brown.
  3. Add seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  4. Drizzle more honey mustard on top of the chicken, add sautéed mushrooms, and layer with shredded cheese.
  5. Transfer skillet to the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your choice of sides.
