Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add slivered almonds and vanilla extract, stirring gently.
- Pour in heavy cream gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface, folding it gently a few times.
- Pat the dough into a circle about an inch thick and cut into wedges.
- Place scone pieces on the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
