Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Optional: chopped walnuts, pecans, or raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the egg and apple cider until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Use a cookie scoop or a spoon to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers are slightly underdone.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For the perfect chewy texture, remove the cookies from the oven when they still look slightly soft in the center. Optionally, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for added flavor.
