Description

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 4 tablespoons of honey
  • Fresh thyme (to taste)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon of milk (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until about a quarter-inch thick.
  3. Place the brie cheese in the center of the pastry and drizzle honey over the cheese.
  4. Sprinkle fresh thyme on top of the brie.
  5. Wrap the pastry around the cheese, ensuring it’s completely enclosed.
  6. Brush the wrapped pastry with the egg wash mixture.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the brie come to room temperature before baking for even melting. Consider using camembert as a substitute for brie.
