Description
A festive dish featuring turkey wings glazed with a tart and sweet cranberry pomegranate mixture, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- Turkey Wings
- Fresh Cranberries
- Pomegranate Juice
- Honey or Brown Sugar
- Garlic
- Fresh Thyme
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive Oil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the turkey wings dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine fresh cranberries, pomegranate juice, honey (or brown sugar), minced garlic, salt, and fresh thyme. Stir until well blended.
- Season the turkey wings generously with salt and pepper, and rub with olive oil if desired.
- Place the wings in a large bowl or on a lined baking sheet and pour the glaze over them. Ensure each wing is thoroughly coated.
- Arrange the wings on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, basting every 15-20 minutes.
- Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- For extra crispiness, broil the wings for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from oven, let rest for five minutes, and serve warm.
Notes
Consider marinating the wings overnight for more intense flavors. Pair with vibrant sides like crispy Brussels sprouts or buttery mashed potatoes.
