Description

A comforting Baked Tortellini Casserole filled with cheese and savory marinara sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheese-filled tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil and parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook until tender and golden.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked tortellini, marinara sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and half of the mozzarella. Mix well.
  4. Spread half of the tortellini mixture in a greased baking dish. Dollop half of the ricotta on top. Repeat layers with remaining tortellini, ricotta, and top with leftover mozzarella and parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs.
