- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare your muffin tin by greasing or lining it with paper liners.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the melted butter with the eggs, milk, and vanilla in another bowl and mix well.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
- Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies, reserving a few for topping.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the muffins in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For an extra crunch, sprinkle a mixture of crushed Oreos and sugar on top before baking.
