- ½ cup milk or buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk or buttermilk, until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
