Instructions

  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk or buttermilk, until just combined.
  7. Fold in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
