A delightful dessert combining the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with rich, melted chocolate, creating a warm and comforting treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 200g high-quality dark chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch baking dish or loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the mashed bananas.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, whisking gently until blended. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the flour and baking powder gently.
  7. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute butter with coconut oil and eggs with flaxseed meal or applesauce. Ensure bananas are overripe for optimal flavor.
