Description

Delicious BBQ grilled prawns marinated in garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs, perfect for summer cookouts.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh herbs, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
  2. Toss the prawns in the marinade, coating them well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes. Skewer the prawns, leaving space between each.
  5. Grill the prawns for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the grill and drizzle with fresh lemon juice and additional herbs for garnish.
  7. Serve with grilled vegetables or salad.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add extra chili flakes. Enjoy with sides like rice or garlic bread.
