Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 ounces button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • Optional: shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and soy sauce; simmer until well combined.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine sautéed mixture with fresh green beans, stirring until coated.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with fried onions.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
