Ingredients

- 8 breakfast sausages (pork, chicken, turkey, or plant-based)
- 1 package puff pastry (or crescent roll dough, biscuit dough)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, garlic powder)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick and cut into 4-inch rectangles.
- If using raw sausages, cook them in a skillet until browned and fully cooked.
- Place a cooked sausage at one end of each dough rectangle and roll it up, tucking in the ends.
- Brush the tops with egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving with dipping sauces.
Notes
For a healthier option, use turkey or chicken sausage. You can also freeze these before baking for later use.
