Description
A comforting dish combining tender chicken, sautéed broccoli, crispy bacon, and melty cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- Fresh broccoli florets
- Thick-cut bacon
- Sharp or mild cheddar cheese
- Fresh minced garlic
- Heavy cream or sour cream
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove it, keeping the grease in the skillet.
- Add minced garlic and broccoli to the skillet; sauté until bright green and slightly tender, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown on each side, roughly 5-7 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, return the bacon to the pan, pour in the cream, and sprinkle the cheese over everything. Let it melt into a bubbly goodness.
- Plate the dish warm, optionally garnishing with chopped green onions.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the broccoli; it should be vibrant and tender. Save some bacon for garnishing.
