Broccoli Bacon Cheddar Chicken

  • Author: chefcletus
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Paleo

Description

A comforting dish combining tender chicken, sautéed broccoli, crispy bacon, and melty cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Thick-cut bacon
  • Sharp or mild cheddar cheese
  • Fresh minced garlic
  • Heavy cream or sour cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove it, keeping the grease in the skillet.
  2. Add minced garlic and broccoli to the skillet; sauté until bright green and slightly tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown on each side, roughly 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked through, return the bacon to the pan, pour in the cream, and sprinkle the cheese over everything. Let it melt into a bubbly goodness.
  5. Plate the dish warm, optionally garnishing with chopped green onions.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the broccoli; it should be vibrant and tender. Save some bacon for garnishing.
