Description

Ingredients

  • 1 batch pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (shiitake recommended)
  • Fresh basil, to taste
  • Fresh thyme, to taste
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1 cup arugula or spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to about a quarter-inch thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and brush it with olive oil.
  4. Spread ricotta cheese evenly over the base.
  5. Add shredded mozzarella and sautéed mushrooms on top.
  6. Sprinkle fresh basil and thyme over the cheese and mushrooms.
  7. Crush candy canes and sprinkle evenly over the pizza.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Toss arugula on top after baking.
  10. Slice and serve immediately.
