- 4 medium Apples (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup All-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1/2 cup Rolled oats
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter (cold, or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- Optional: sea salt or vanilla ice cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and slicing them. Toss with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Make the caramel sauce if not using store-bought.
- Create the crumble by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, and spices. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Assembly: In a greased muffin tin, layer apples, drizzle caramel, and top with crumble.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until topping is golden and apples are bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
