- 4 medium Honeycrisp apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into even wedges. Toss them in lemon juice.
- In a skillet, melt sugar over medium heat until it reaches amber color. Stir occasionally.
- Add butter and cinnamon to the caramel, mixing well.
- Arrange the apple wedges in the skillet with the caramel.
- Cover the apples with rolled-out puff pastry, tucking the edges into the skillet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool slightly, then flip onto a serving plate.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Ensure the apples are dry before adding them to the caramel to prevent splitting.
