- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 2 cups cooked chicken (breast or thighs)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 dash of nutmeg (optional)
- Sautéed mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Prepare chicken by sautéing minced garlic in butter until fragrant, then add diced chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper and cooking until golden brown.
- Make the Alfredo sauce by whisking in heavy cream to melted butter, and gradually stir in the cheese until creamy.
- Combine the cooked pasta, sautéed chicken, and Alfredo sauce in a large bowl until coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and top generously with more cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, use seitan or tofu. Whole grain pasta can elevate fiber content. Pair with a fresh salad or garlic bread.
