Description

Delightful jumbo pasta shells stuffed with creamy chicken Alfredo and topped with gooey mozzarella, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the jumbo shells until they are al dente. Drain and set aside, drizzled with olive oil.
  2. Dice or shred the cooked chicken, sauté with minced garlic and butter until warm.
  3. For homemade Alfredo, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour until smooth, then slowly incorporate cream and Parmesan until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, pour a little Alfredo sauce on the bottom. Stuff each shell generously with the chicken mixture, seam-side up in the dish.
  5. Cover the shells with the remaining Alfredo sauce. Top with mozzarella and herbs.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute chicken with sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian option. Homemade white sauce can also replace store-bought Alfredo for a personal touch.
