A comforting and flavorful stir-fry featuring succulent chicken and crunchy cabbage, ideal for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs), diced
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup assorted seasonal vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, snap peas)
- Fresh herbs (cilantro or basil), for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Shred the cabbage and slice any additional vegetables.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken and season it with salt and pepper. Sauté until golden brown and cooked through.
- Add Aromatics: Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, stirring quickly to avoid burning.
- Stir in the Vegetables: Add the shredded cabbage and other vegetables. Stir-fry until they become tender but still crisp, about 5–7 minutes.
- Season the Dish: Pour in the soy sauce and continue to stir for another minute to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve Hot: Plate the stir-fry and garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches for better results. Use high heat for optimal caramelization.
