A beloved comfort dish featuring tender chicken, crispy breadcrumbs, rich marinara sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- Boneless Chicken (breast or thighs)
- Breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-seasoned)
- 2 Eggs
- Marinara Sauce
- Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
- Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Fresh Basil
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly pound the chicken breasts between plastic wrap for even cooking. Season with salt and pepper.

- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place fried chicken on top, cover with more sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Broil for an extra 2-3 minutes if you like extra crispy cheese.
- Sprinkle with fresh basil before serving. Pair with pasta or salad.
