Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced)
  • 1 cup fresh whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into rectangles.
  3. Bake the pastry rectangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water or in the microwave.
  5. Slice the bananas into thin rounds and toss lightly in lemon juice.
  6. Whip the cream with powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  7. Assemble the Napoleons by stacking a pastry layer, melted chocolate, banana slices, and whipped cream, repeating until three layers high.
  8. Top with another pastry layer, drizzle with melted chocolate, and dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Chill for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a healthier twist, try using dairy-free chocolate and nut-based whipped cream.
