Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries or canned cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, thyme, salt, and egg.
  3. Fold in cranberries or cranberry sauce gently.
  4. Form equal-sized meatballs (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over each meatball.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Baste with extra cranberry sauce during the last few minutes of baking.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute ground meat with plant-based meat and eggs with flaxseed meal.
