Description

Delicious and festive meatballs glazed in sweet-tart cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or turkey)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup onion (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground meat and bread crumbs in a large bowl.
  2. Add the minced garlic, diced onion, fresh herbs, egg, salt, and pepper, mixing gently until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and set them on a prepared baking sheet.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while letting the meatballs rest for about 15 minutes.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  6. Heat the cranberry sauce in a saucepan until bubbly and add the baked meatballs, coating them thoroughly.
  7. Serve with toothpicks or on a bed of greens for a lovely presentation.

Notes

Baking gives a nice crust while keeping the meatballs moist. If frying, use plenty of olive oil to prevent sticking.
