Description

A festive treat filled with layers of rich brownie, creamy caramel, and refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup high-quality semi-sweet chocolate or cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar in a large bowl until frothy; stir in the melted chocolate-butter mixture.
  4. Fold in the flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour brownie mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the magical layer by microwaving sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in 30-second bursts until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the chocolate mixture over baked brownies and top with mini marshmallows and crushed peppermint.
  8. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute traditional chocolate and butter for vegan alternatives. For gluten-free, use almond flour or coconut flour.
