A festive and savory wreath made with buttery crescent rolls, ground sausage, and a medley of fresh herbs, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound ground sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a baking sheet.
  3. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Add cream cheese, mixing until melted (if using).
  5. Incorporate the minced garlic and fresh herbs into the sausage mixture, sautéing for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Open the crescent dough and unroll it, pinching the seams together.
  7. Spoon the sausage filling into the center and fold the edges over, twisting into a wreath shape.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side of spicy mustard or gravy for dipping. This dish can be frozen before baking.
