  • Colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and nutmeg. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pipe or scoop dough into wreath shapes on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  6. Sprinkle colored sugar or sprinkles on top of the cookies for decoration.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
