Description
Crispy chicken tenders coated in a crunchy cornflake crust and drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken tenders
- 2 cups cornflakes
- 1/2 cup hot honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Veggie oil, for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Set up your breading station: In one bowl, whisk together the eggs; in another, combine cornflakes with flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; keep the third bowl empty for easy access.
- Coat the chicken: Dip each tender into the egg mixture, then coat with the cornflake blend, pressing firmly.
- Heat the oil: Pour vegetable oil into a skillet, about half an inch deep, and heat it over medium until shimmering.
- Fry to perfection: Gently place the coated tenders in the hot oil, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Drizzle with hot honey: Once cooked, drizzle hot honey over the tenders while they’re warm.
- Serve immediately: Enjoy while still crispy!
Notes
These tenders can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option. Maintain oil temperature for the best texture.
