Description

Delightful bars with a buttery shortbread crust, tangy cranberries, and creamy frosting, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Slowly mix in flour, then fold in dried cranberries and press into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
  5. While cooling, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange zest until smooth.
  6. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled crust.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour, then slice and serve.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter and cream cheese for best results. Do not skip the chilling step after frosting.
