Description
Delightful bites of creamy Brie cheese and sweet cranberry sauce wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz Brie cheese (soft and creamy)
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lay out your puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares—about three inches on each side.
- Place a spoonful of cranberry sauce in the center of each pastry square. Top it with a slice of Brie.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch them to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a prettier finish.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash to give your bites a beautiful golden sheen when baked.
- Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool slightly before serving, as the melted cheese will be steaming hot.
Notes
For best results, ensure the Brie is at room temperature for easier cutting. If the pastry becomes too warm, refrigerate briefly to make it easier to handle.
