Description
A delightful and nostalgic Cranberry Fluff Salad that perfectly balances sweet and tart flavors, making it a favorite for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can cranberry sauce
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- Coconut (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the cranberries by mixing the cranberry sauce with sugar. If using fresh cranberries, cook them with sugar until they burst and form a sauce, then cool.
- Mix the cooled cranberry sauce with drained crushed pineapple in a large bowl until well blended.
- Add the whipped topping, folding gently to maintain the fluffy texture.
- Incorporate mini marshmallows and nuts, mixing until evenly distributed.
- Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- Serve and enjoy, garnishing with coconut if desired.
Notes
For a healthier spin, use Greek yogurt instead of whipped topping. Make the salad a day ahead for better flavor.
