- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
- 1–2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- ¾ cup cream or buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the cranberries and jalapeños.
- Pour in the cream or buttermilk and stir until just combined.
- On a floured surface, turn out the dough. Pat it into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut it into wedges or rounds.
- Place the scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm with extra cranberry jalapeño dip for spreading.
