Instructions

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Combine with the yeast mixture and add softened butter until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare Filling: Mix cream cheese, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread the Filling: Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
  7. Roll It Up: Roll the dough tightly from one long side and pinch the seams to seal.
  8. Cut the Rolls: Slice the log into 1-2 inch sections and place in a greased baking dish or on a parchment-lined sheet.
