  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.
  3. Prepare the Shrimp: Add shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until pink, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Create the Sauce: Lower heat, add heavy cream, and stir in Parmesan until melted. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Combine: Fold cooked pasta into the creamy mixture until coated. Adjust seasoning and add black pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish: Serve warm, sprinkled with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Be careful not to overcook shrimp to retain tenderness.
