Description
A comforting and creamy ravioli dish filled with fresh broccoli and enveloped in a luscious Alfredo sauce, perfect for romantic dinners and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- Fresh Ravioli
- 2 cups Broccoli, chopped
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- A pinch of Nutmeg
- Fresh Basil or Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Broccoli: Cook broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and rinse under cold water. Roughly chop.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Fill the Ravioli: If making fresh ravioli, roll out pasta dough and cut circles. Place chopped broccoli in the center of each circle and seal the edges with water. For store-bought, skip this step.
- Cook the Ravioli: Boil a pot of salted water. Cook ravioli according to package instructions, about 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Combine the Dish: Transfer cooked ravioli to the skillet with Alfredo sauce and gently toss to coat.
- Serve: Top with additional Parmesan and fresh herbs. Share and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with crusty garlic bread and a crisp green salad. Drizzle balsamic reduction for an extra flavor boost.
