Ingredients
- Pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or spaghetti)
- Fresh garlic, minced
- Fresh shrimp or scallops
- Heavy cream
- Unsalted butter (or olive oil)
- White wine
- Fresh parsley or basil
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; reserve a cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Add seafood and cook until shrimp are pink or scallops are golden (2-3 minutes per side).
- Pour in white wine and scrape the pan to incorporate bits; simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and add Parmesan. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Season with salt, pepper, and herbs; toss in pasta until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan and herbs.
