Description
Crispy cheese balls filled with a creamy jalapeno mixture, perfect for parties or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 10 Fresh Jalapenos
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 Egg
- Fresh Herbs (e.g., Cilantro)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the jalapenos by cutting them in half and removing the seeds.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped herbs.
- Spoon the cheese filling into each jalapeno half.
- Whisk the egg in a separate bowl and place breadcrumbs in another bowl. Dip each stuffed jalapeno in egg and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the jalapeno balls until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Let cool slightly and serve with ranch dressing or salsa.
Notes
For a healthier option, try baking instead of frying. You can customize the spice level by choosing milder or spicier jalapenos.
