Ingredients

- 4 cups fresh cranberries (or frozen)
- 2 cups sugar (brown sugar or maple syrup optional)
- 1/2 cup orange zest and juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or almond extract)
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and discard any damaged ones. Zest and juice oranges.
- Combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, orange zest, spices, and vanilla extract in a crockpot. Stir gently to mix.
- Set crockpot on low and cook for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Check for consistency; jam is ready when cranberries burst and mixture thickens.
- Let cool slightly, then jar in sterilized containers.
Notes
Can be adjusted with a splash of bourbon or cayenne pepper for an adult twist. Store in the refrigerator for up to four weeks.
