Instructions
- Sauté your aromatics: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until nicely browned. Drain excess fat if necessary, then add in onions and garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.
- Prep your crockpot: Transfer the sautéed mixture into your crockpot along with chopped potatoes, diced carrots, and celery.
- Pour in the liquids: Add beef broth (or vegetable broth) and stir to ensure vegetables are submerged.
- Season generously: Sprinkle in salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika. Stir to distribute seasonings.
- Cook it low and slow: Cover and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
- Finish with cream: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in your cream or milk.
- Taste and adjust: Check the seasoning and adjust as necessary.
