Description

A delightful sweet treat made with Chex cereal, chocolate, and peanut butter, perfect for gatherings and nostalgic moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Chex cereal (rice or corn)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring in between, until smooth.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, pour the Chex cereal and drizzle the melted chocolate mixture over it, folding gently to coat evenly.
  3. Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable bag or bowl, adding powdered sugar a little at a time. Shake or mix until evenly covered.
  4. Spread the coated cereal onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.
  5. Store the Cupid Chow in an airtight container once cooled to keep it fresh and crispy.

Notes

Be careful not to overheat the chocolate; it should remain smooth for even coating. Make sure to let it cool completely to maintain crunch.
