- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a heatproof bowl, melt dark chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and brown sugar until creamy and then combine with the melted chocolate mixture.
- In another bowl, whisk flour and salt together, then gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the dried cherries.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm and centers are slightly underbaked.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a lighter treat, dust with powdered sugar before serving or pair with vanilla ice cream.
