Description
Delightful tartlets filled with whipped cream and topped with chocolate-dipped strawberries, perfect for celebrations.
Ingredients
- Pre-made tart shells (puff pastry or shortcrust)
- Fresh strawberries, bright and ripe
- Dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
- Heavy whipping cream
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the tart shells by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pastry dough, cut into circles, and place in a muffin tin. Prick bottoms to prevent bubbling and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
- Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place on parchment paper to set.
- Whip the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble each tart shell with whipped cream and top with chocolate-dipped strawberries. Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle with crushed nuts.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, replace heavy cream with coconut cream. Use milk or white chocolate as an alternative to dark chocolate.
