Description

Ingredients

  • Pre-made tart shells (puff pastry or shortcrust)
  • Fresh strawberries, bright and ripe
  • Dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tart shells by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pastry dough, cut into circles, and place in a muffin tin. Prick bottoms to prevent bubbling and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
  3. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Place on parchment paper to set.
  4. Whip the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
  5. Assemble each tart shell with whipped cream and top with chocolate-dipped strawberries. Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle with crushed nuts.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, replace heavy cream with coconut cream. Use milk or white chocolate as an alternative to dark chocolate.
