Delicious, fluffy donuts infused with the rich flavor of pure maple syrup, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 egg (or applesauce for vegan)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare your donut pan by greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix and stir gently until combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl. Drizzle over the cooled donuts.
  8. Enjoy fresh or store in an airtight container!

Notes

Store leftover donuts in an airtight container for 2-3 days. They can also be frozen for up to a month.
