Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa content or higher)
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • Zest and juice of 1 fresh orange
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder or crushed nuts for rolling

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, warm the heavy cream until it’s just about to simmer.
  3. Pour the warm cream over the chopped chocolate and let sit for a couple of minutes.
  4. Stir the mixture until smooth, then add the orange zest and juice, mixing well.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for about two hours until firm.
  6. Scoop out portions of the chocolate mixture and roll them into balls using slightly moist hands.
  7. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut.
  8. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to solidify before serving.
