Description

A delightful dish of tender shrimp sautéed in garlic, butter, and a hint of lemon, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil and butter. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp and a pinch of salt, and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. If using, pour in white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping any brown bits off the bottom. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  4. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Optionally, add red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
  5. Serve over pasta, rice, or crusty bread, and sprinkle with extra parsley for flair.

Notes

Cooking shrimp is all about timing; ensure the skillet is hot enough for a nice sear. Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve the best results.
