Description

A comforting sushi bake combining tender salmon marinated in teriyaki sauce with fluffy rice and zesty toppings, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 lb fresh skinless salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 nori sheets, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear and cook according to package instructions.
  3. Chop the salmon into bite-sized pieces and toss with teriyaki sauce.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, salmon mixture, and softened cream cheese.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish, packing it down slightly.
  6. Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top and drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce, adding green onions.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
  8. Let it cool, then top with sliced avocado and crumbled nori before serving.
  9. Serve warm with extra teriyaki sauce on the side.

Notes

Allow sushi rice to steam after cooking for better texture. Let the salmon marinate for 15-30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
