Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat/gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional: nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggnog, eggs, and sugar until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  5. If desired, stir in nuts or additional flavors.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Optional: Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
