Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, ground ginger, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter with brown and white sugar until light.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in fresh ginger.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until dough forms.
  6. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before enjoying.

Notes

Sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for an added flavor boost.
