Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and spices. Set aside.
- Cream together the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Fold in the dried fruit and orange zest until well distributed.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the vanilla glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cupcakes.
